What age can children start lessons?
Children can start as complete beginners, with no experience at all, at the age of four.
If they have some experience of swimming they may be able to start in the term they turn four and may not need to go into the first group.
How many children do you have in a group?
This varies according to the level.
Stage 2/3 - Max 5
Stage4 - Max 6
Stage 5 - Max 6
Stage 6 and above - Max 8
Will it be OK if my child is very nervous and crying ?
Can I stay with them until they are settled ?
Yes. We are very experienced with, and used to, children coming in crying and nervous.
You are welcome to stay on poolside until you feel it is appropriate to leave.
In my experience it is normally just a fear of the unknown, and once we have shown them how much fun swimming can be, they calm down very quickly.
